Our breakthrough star of the season (he’ll warm the cockles of your heart) that we’ve kept semi-permanently on the menu because our regulars keep asking for it!
Traditionally stewed pork belly aburi-ed to perfection then sandwiched with cheese and our house-made pickled vegetables. It’s like Kong Ba 包 met Bánh mì in Europe and then... love-at-first-bite.
- Heat a pan up on medium heat.
Check if pan is ready by sprinkling some water on it.
(If the water droplets ski around gracefully like mercury beads you’re almost ready!)
- Bring the heat down low and place the Toastie in with the baking paper still on. (It’ll slide off nicely when each side is toasted!)
- Grill each side of the Toastie for 3-4 minutes.
- Cut into your Toastie and enjoy~!
